This year’s OpenCon will be held in Berlin on November 11-13, 2017. The Max Planck Society will host OpenCon 2017 at the Harnack House. Organized by the Right to Research Coalition and SPARC, OpenCon is the largest worldwide conference on open access, open science and open data for the next generation.
Application to attend OpenCon 2017 in Berlin, Germany will open on June 27.

The 13th Berlin Open Access Conference (B13) themed “Building capacity for the transformation” will be held on March 21–22, 2017 in Berlin. It will focus on the progress in the context of the OA2020 initiative.

There will be an OpenCon satellite event in Berlin on the 24th-26th November. This event will form one of the many international satellite events of the OpenCon 2016 conference that will be held two weeks earlier in Washington DC. It will focus on putting Open Science into action through open collaboration.

Attendance at OpenCon is possibly by application only, so the majority of past participants have received travel scholarships.
