Since September 2015 provides the American Chemical Society their authors the fully open access journal ACS Central Science. It is a multidisciplinary and highly selective journal, which is publishing the most important advances in chemistry. The journal is free to publish and free to read.
The American Chemical Society offers a new program for authors: ACS Author Rewards. Each corresponding author gets for each article published during 2014 an ACS Author Rewards credit (two $750 credits for a total value of $1500). The credits may be used to fund any ACS AuthorChoice option within the next three years (2015-2017).
ACS Editors’ Choice is a new service designed to feature scientific articles of broad public interest. The American Chemical Society selects one article each day to be published with free public access to new research. The selections base on recommendations by the scientific editors of ACS journals from around the world. All ACS Publications articles published in 2014 and forward are eligible to be recommended for ACS Editors’ Choice.
