Friday, 4 March 2022 – 11:00am

This course explains what reference management systems (also known as bibliographic or citation management software) are, why they are useful for any kind of research, and what to look out for when considering the use of one of the numerous available bibliographic management applications. The two systems EndNote and Mendeley are demonstrated as examples. The course will also cover multiple reference management applications for mobile devices.

2022: the UN International Year Of Glass

The United Nations have declared 2022 the International Year Of Glass to highlight the importance of glass for science and society.

The International Commission on Glass (ICG) and the Community of Glass Assocciations (CGA) will host various events and activities, including a congress to be held in Berlin in July 2022. This coincides with the 100th Anniversary of the Deutsche Glastechnische Gesellschaft (DGG, German Society of Glass Technology).

The joint website of the DGG and the Hüttentechnische Vereinigung der Deutschen Glasindustrie (HVG) presents an overview of many other events with both popular and professional scope in Germany.
