Electronics for Scientists: Hardware – Software – Simulation: Possibilities and Limitations

The ELAB delivers custom electronic instrumentation to aid researchers in making their scientific discoveries. This service will naturally continue after the planned transition of management on March 1. Advances in electronic component specifications and modern computation are opening up avenues for increased measurement bandwidth, low noise levels, and the automation of complex experimental setups. We will also discuss the incorporation of numerical simulation in the design process.

Within the FHI-Cloud (Powerfolder) a multifeatured online office suite for scientific collaboration, document and project management is offered. It includes an online office application for working within a browser allowing to edit and comment text documents, spreadsheets and presentations in real time.
All major file formats are supported, including Microsoft Office formats.

Max Planck Science Slam & Party im Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin

Berlin ist neben München ein zentraler Veranstaltungsort des Max-Planck-Tages.

Zum Auftakt demonstrieren Wissenschaftler des Fritz-Haber-Instituts ihre Leidenschaft fürs Experimentieren in einer chemisch-physikalischen Show mit besonderen Effekten und erklären die Wissenschaft dahinter. Danach zeigen acht Max-Planck-Institute aus Berlin und Potsdam-Golm die Vielfalt der Forschung.

Seit 25. Mai 2018 gilt die neue Datenschutzgrundverordnung europaweit. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Umsetzung am FHI und hierbei insbesondere der Schutz personenbezogener Daten, die interne Aufgabenverteilung und die Verantwortlichkeiten.
