The journals will be online-only and publish open access content under a CC-BY license. They are now open for submissions.

The TV station 3sat will broadcast 3 parts of the documentation series „Das Genie der Natur“ (only in German) on Wednesday, the 6th of May 2015 from 15:45 p.m. It will be about the bionic which is shown on animals and their flexibility to the nature.

‘Nature Communications’ is Going Open Access
The Nature Publishing Group’s journal Nature Communications will move to gold open access. The journal was launched as a multidisciplinary journal in 2010. It will only accept open access research submissions from 20th October 2014.
A report (pdf) by the Research Information Network shows “that there is a significant benefit for article views and downloads, as well as a small but significant citation benefit to publishing open access in Nature Communications”.
