Searching for Theses

Search our online catalog or PubMan to find theses which were written by FHI staff. Most PhD theses from German universities are available online (from 2000 onwards):

A good source to find dissertations and thesis from around the world is the database ProQuest Dissertations & Theses [for subscribers only]. Over a million full text PhD theses are available for download in pdf format.

Furthermore we recommend BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) to search for theses worldwide. BASE is the search engine for academic open access web resources.

ProQuest Databases for Chemistry & Physics

ProQuest has released a new platform which brings together reference databases and full text resources which were previously spread over various platforms (CSA Illumina, CSA Illustrata, ProQuest Dissertations & Theses).

The new platform is ready to use now via http://search.proquest.com/

An online workshop featuring the new platform is now available:
