Zotero requires Firefox no longer

A new version of Zotero has been released. Zotero 3.0 runs outside the Firefox browser now. This standalone version enables you to integrate Zotero into other browsers such as Google Chrome and Apple Safari. Other new features are duplicate detection and a new word processor integration. Find out more at the Zotero Blog.

You are not familiar with Zotero?
It is an open source reference management software which is no longer a Firefox browser extension only. The import of references from web pages and pdfs works easily, adding notices and combining related references are nice features. Furthermore Zotero offers plugins for Word and OpenOffice and supports thousands of publication formats.
