Today starts the International Open Access Week themed “redefining impact”.
We gladly provide you support regarding publishing in open access journals [internal] and open access repositories, with a focus on PubMan. We have prepared some material including brochures, flyers and sweeties. Up to 25th October you will find the information desk in the library.

During this week you will find here everyday some tools, videos, projects, and further information. Today we will start with some useful sites:

RoMEO is a searchable database of publisher’s policies regarding the self- archiving of journal articles on the web and in Open Access repositories. […] Please note that general use of the terms pre-print and post-print can vary: these lists follow accepted definitions for self-archiving purposes. Open Access Webinar for PhD Students

The Helmholtz Open Access Coordination Office will offer an introductory web seminar on open access for Ph.D. students of the Helmholtz Association during this years international Open Access Week. PhD students from other institutions are welcome to participate as guests.

Neue Broschüre zu Open Access

Aus Anlass der International Open Access Week hat die Allianz der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (Arbeitsgruppe Open Access) eine Broschüre veröffentlicht:

Open-Access-Strategien für wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen: Bausteine und Beispiele [pdf]

Neben den zentralen Bausteinen einer Open Access-Strategie werden konkrete Maßnahmen zur Umsetzung von Open Access anhand ausgewählter Einrichtungen vorgestellt.
