Today starts the International Open Access Week themed “Open in Action”.

We are celebrating the International Open Access Week with a workshop on Open Access for FHI scientists (on Wednesday) and an information desk in the library. Therefor we have prepared some material including brochures, flyers and sweeties. Please feel free to take along information material and sweeties!

FHI Workshop on Open Access

The FHI is practicing open access to scientific results as stated in the “Berlin Declaration on Open Access to the Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities” in two ways: Publication in Open Access Journals and institutional self-archiving on MPG.PuRe.
The board of directors of the FHI recommends that researcher deposit a copy of their published journal articles on MPG.PuRe (pubman.mpdl.mpg.de) according to legal conditions and submit their work to Open Access journals.

This course gives an overview about Open Access in general and some special topics, e.g. right to secondary publication.

Perspectives on Open Access in the FHI

IsupportOpenAccessblackWe would be happy to learn more about the perspectives and opinions of our scientists on open access publications. Therefor we’ve prepared a little questionnaire. Just visit the information desk in the library and answer the questions at the poster board.
Participation is, of course, anonymous. Completing the questionnaire should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

The questionnaire and information desk is available during the whole week.
