New SpringerLink Platform

SpringerLink has migrated to a new platform. The new design is very simple and the search speed has been made faster.

Unfortunately your individual profile has not been migrated automatically to the new site. You will need to set up a new account.

What we miss is the nice option of the old SpringerLink to get all open access articles published in a (hybrid) journal by one click. Now you have to click through volumes, issues and ToC to find out if an article is open access. The open access indicator is shown on the article page or on the search results page.

SpringerOpen Books

Springer has started a new open access program publishing books, including complete monographs, edited volumes, proceedings and SpringerBriefs. SpringerOpen books are freely available at Springer’s website and they are listed in the Directory of Open Access Books.

Authors at our institute who wish to publish a SpringeOpen book will receive a 15% discount on the publication fee due to Max Planck Society’s Prepay Membership.

New Springer Open Access title

The new interdisciplinary Open Access journal SpringerPlus is now open for submissions:
http://www.springerplus.com/

“SpringerOpen publishes high-quality peer-reviewed open access journals in Science, Technology and Medicine. Max Planck Society is a Member which means you can publish in any SpringerOpen, BioMed Central or Chemistry Central journal without paying a fee. The article-processing charge is paid centrally by your institution.”
